Looking to SAVE on your OBX Vacation?...
See Our Specials!Phideaux Charters uses a family owned and operated fishing vessel. The Phideaux fishes year round for offshore gamefish (tuna, dolphin, wahoo, marlin). Most of the year they are based out of Broad Creek Marina. Broad Creek is centrally located for the city’s of Corolla, Duck, Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk, Nags Head, Manteo and Rodanthe. On occasion they will spend winter/spring in Hatteras Village, depending on the habits of bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna and striped bass. Phideaux Charters currently offers the least expensive offshore fishing trip on the Northern Outer Banks. Please call Capt. Jamie for bookings.
Phideaux Charters generally leave the dock at five a.m., and return between four and six p.m. Offshore gamefish can be found from fifteen to sixty miles from the inlet, so running and fishing times will vary from day to day. The fish you can expect to encounter are tuna, dolphin, wahoo, marlin and sailfish, with a chance to catch king mackerel, cobia, shark, striped bass and blue fish. The striped bass/bluefish trips are generally run between November and March, call for details. All you need to bring is what you need to eat and drink for the day, appropriate clothing (it may be 100 degrees or 25 degrees) and tip for the mate (twenty percent). Even though they have enough tackle for three boats, you are welcome to bring any you may have. We will use it if you wish. The ships store at Broad Creek Marina has all the supplies you will need. A fish cleaning service is available and affordable.
