You’ll see plenty of bright chutes in the sky this summer, as a number of water sports companies offer to parasail right here on the Currituck Sound, but keep four important letters in mind when choosing which company is safest to fly with: WSIA! Corolla and Duck Parasail, the longest running parasail operations on the Outer Banks, take great pride in their active membership and participation with WSIA (Water Sports Industry Association), and their Captain and Crew attend the Parasail Operator’s Symposium annually to ensure their companies are up to date on all the newest rules, regulations, laws, and equipment out there. Be aware that membership is not mandatory for any of their fellow parasail operators here on the beach, so keep your peepers peeled for that WSIA stamp! Your safety, after-all, is their number one concern!
